Temporary Commuter Parking Changes | August 11–21

The Shandoka and Carhenge parking lots will be closed to commuter parking from 8:00 am tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11, through 5:00 pm next Friday, August 21, for the installation of story poles as part of the Historic and Architectural Review Commission (HARC) review of the Shandoka Lot Redevelopment Project.

During the closure, Carhenge will be reserved for displaced Shandoka residents and S Permit holders. Commuters who normally park at Shandoka or Carhenge will need to use other parking options.

Where Commuters Can Park

• G Permit Areas: The permit requirement is waived August 11-21. Vehicles may park in G permit zones without a permit; posted time limits and other restrictions still apply. This does not apply in the metered zone, where paid parking remains in effect.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Posted hourly time limits still apply ONLY in metered zones. This waiver does not apply in the metered zone, where paid parking and all other posted restrictions remain in effect.
• Entrada/Longwill Lot (72-Hour Lot): Available for extended parking.
• Gondola Parking Garage, Mountain Village: Park and ride the free gondola into Telluride.
• Lawson Hill Intercept Lot: Park and ride the SMART bus into town.
