Draper City Park - New Playground and Construction Closure

Draper City Parks and Recreation is building a brand new Mega All-Inclusive playground at Draper Park, scheduled to open summer 2022.

The new facility will be include unique features that make it a “SUPER ALL ABILITIES” playground that represents the best in inclusive play opportunities! It will feature playground ramps that provide easy access to the 7’ and 8’ deck height, concerto music equipment to be mounted onto the playground decks, so they are set at the 7’ deck height and make for a unique and inclusive music area, and a mighty descent slide wide enough for an aid or provider to accompany a patron with disability.

Ground-level components include the Accessible Whirl that is flush with the surfacing, so a mobility device can easily enter the spinner, and over 90% of the overall playground area is accessible by a user in a mobility device.

The city is partnering with design company Playworld to create this amazing new addition to Draper City Parks and Recreation resources for residents.

In order to create this exciting new feature for our residents, the Draper Park north playground will be closed and fenced off beginning March 1. Patience during the construction process is appreciated, and residents are encouraged to use the south playground at Draper Park, or to visit a different playground at one of our other 40+ parks.
