Meet Santa at the Sorensen Home Museum (12597 S. 900 E.) Saturday, November 26 and December 3 from 12:00-3:00 PM. A professional photographer will take photos with Santa. 5x7 prints or JPEGS cost $10, or $15 for both. Photos can be purchased with cash or check only. 



Kick-off the holiday season with Draper City’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, November 28 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Draper City Park. Arrive early to see Santa and special guests light the holiday lights just after 6 PM. Bundle up and share in the Holiday Cheer! All activities are free and end at 8:00 PM.

Schedule 

• Lighting ceremony at the stage  6:00 - 6:15 PM
• Santa at the Day Barn, hot chocolate & cookies, pony rides, marshmallow roasting  6:30 - 8:00 PM                                                                  

About the Lights

The holiday lights displayed in Draper Park are truly spectacular with more than three million lights placed on trees throughout the park. The biggest attraction is the large Globe Willow tree in the center of the park which alone boasts over 75,000 lights along with hundreds of spark lights which give the tree its magic twinkling quality. 

• Lights are on 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM nightly, and mornings from 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM, through the first Sunday in January.

The Candy Cane Hunt is a fun, free event. Thousands of candy canes are scattered throughout the park. Children gather on the east side of the park near the clock tower and are released after the countdown at 4:00 PM sharp. A limited number of specially marked candy canes are hidden and can be redeemed for a holiday prize.

Shortly after the start of the hunt, Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive on a firetruck to greet the children and sit for photos in the gazebo. Join us at this annual event for candy canes, toys, hot chocolate, and marshmallow roasting!

Come out for great shopping with vendors offering creative and unique holiday gifts, visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus, roast marshmallow, enjoy free hot chocolate, and listen to musical performances. This is a free event.
