Enjoy More than 70 Free Performances during Make Music Wheaton June 21


Opening Ceremonies Kick Off Event on June 20

The longest day of the year will be filled with music during Make Music Wheaton on Saturday, June 21. The City of Wheaton Wheaton Fine & Cultural Arts Commission invites the community to enjoy more than 70 free performances at multiple venues, starting with a kickoff event on Friday, June 20, followed by a full day of music Saturday, June 21. This family-friendly event will include many styles of music at indoor and outdoor venues.

Make Music Day is a worldwide celebration of music on the longest day of the year, taking place in more than 800 cities across 120 countries. Wheaton’s Fine & Cultural Arts Commission previously invited musicians of all levels to sign up to participate, then matched them with venues that volunteered to host performances. The following events are planned for Make Music Day:


Opening Ceremonies: Friday, June 20, 6-8 p.m.
Help kick off Make Music Wheaton a day early with opening ceremonies from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday, June 20 at Memorial Park, 225 Karlskoga Avenue. The event will feature Bellas Artes Jazz Combo, Chorus of DuPage, and the Jazz Vanguard Combo.

Make Music Wheaton: Saturday, June 21, 9 a.m.-10 p.m.
Performances will take place all day on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the venues listed below. For more information on each performance, please see the Make Music Wheaton website at https://makemusicday.org/wheaton. The list is also available on the City’s Facebook event page.
