DuPage County has informed the City that construction on the Illinois Prairie Path along Carlton Avenue, between Roosevelt Road and Liberty Drive, will begin Monday, April 7, and continue through May 2025.

Carlton Avenue will remain open to vehicular traffic, but parking will be prohibited on the west side of this street during construction. Drivers can use the daily fee parking in Parking Lot 9 (Carlton & Liberty) instead.

During construction, the path will be closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic, which will be detoured using West Street (to the east) and Delles Road (to the west).

This project will involve improvements to enhance accessibility for all users.
