A contractor hit a gas line in the 121st Street and Elm Street area and the intersection has to be closed until crews can either make the repair and/or shut down line to ensure safety of drivers. Detour paths below OR avoid this area if at all possible:

Please use the following detours:
➡️ Northbound (NB):
From 131st on Elm, take eastbound (EB) 125th St. → onto 2nd St. → back westbound (WB) onto 121st St. → north on Cedar → WB on 119th St. → back north on Elm.
➡️ Southbound (SB):
From Elm, turn WB onto 120th St. → continue southbound (SB) on Forest Pl. → back onto 121st St.
