**REMINDER: You MUST wear your green Youth Council shirts to volunteer events. Failure to do so may result in you receiving a No Show for that event. If you need an extra Youth Council shirt, we have plenty! Stop by the Recreation Office (334 Dunhams Corner Road) Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Thank you.**
Chess Instructor Needed:
- We are looking for an experienced Chess player to teach chess on Saturdays from January 18th to March 8th, 8:30am-11:30am, at the Youth Center (350 Dunhams Corner Road). You will be teaching children, aged 6-12. Must be able to teach the fundamentals of chess and lead small groups of children in a classroom setting. If you are interested in teaching, please email ebyouthcouncil@eastbrunswick.org by January 10th. Thank you!

- The Youth Council takes the Mental Health of our members very seriously, and we want to do everything in our power to better the mental health of our young people. Our staff have taken the training classes to provide Teen Mental Health First Aid for free to all our Youth Council members in grades 9-12. If you are interested in receiving Teen Mental Health First Aid, please sign up on Volunteer Matrix. Our next training starts on January 15, 2025.
- New Events will be released in bulk on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month at 5pm! The next big event drop is Sunday, December 29! We do recommend that you still regularly check Volunteer Matrix, because you never know when a surprise event may appear...
