East central Somerset County in northern New Jersey...
Northeastern Middlesex County in northern New Jersey...

* Until 215 PM EDT.

* At 149 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Plainfield, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
Carteret, Middlesex, Bound Brook, Colonia, Woodbridge, South
Plainfield, North Plainfield, Metuchen, Dunellen, Watchung, Iselin,
Sewaren, Port Reading, Avenel, and Fords.
