The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Western Cattaraugus County in western New York...
Southwestern Erie County in western New York...
Chautauqua County in western New York...

* Until 1245 AM EDT.

* At 1144 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Mayville, or
15 miles southwest of Fredonia, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Jamestown, Dunkirk, Fredonia, Allegany State Park, Evans,
Westfield, Lakewood, Silver Creek, Falconer, and Angola.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 90 between exits 57A and 60.
Interstate 86 between exits 6 and 16.

Instructions

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
