The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Anne Arundel County in central Maryland...
East Central Howard County in central Maryland...
Southeastern Baltimore County in northern Maryland...
Baltimore City in northern Maryland...

* Until 915 PM EDT.

* At 613 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen. The expected rainfall rate as the heavies storms move
through is 3.5 to 4.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall
amounts of 1.5 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
