AlertAnnapolis - Weather Alert: Winter Weather Advisory for Annapolis beginning at 12:00 AM (midnight) Tonight
This is an important message from the City of Annapolis Office of Emergency Management:
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Annapolis, which will go into effect from 12:00 AM (midnight) tonight until 10:00 AM tomorrow morning.
1-3 inches of snowfall is expected overnight tonight into late tomorrow morning. Cold temperatures will continue to drop throughout the day tomorrow with wind gusts of 25-35 mph.
Here are a few safety tips to get you ready for tonight/tomorrow’s Winter Weather Event:
- Ice and Snow, Take it Slow! – Slow down, use caution, or avoid driving tomorrow, as slippery roads and decreased visibility are expected!
- Dress in Layers – Take appropriate precautions when exposed to winter weather, and limit time outdoors to reduce the risk of cold-weather illnesses such as frostbite and hypothermia.
