This is an important message from the City of Annapolis Office of Emergency Management:
Due to projected water levels and a Coastal Flood Warning in effect for Annapolis, the City is offering sandbags to help residents and businesses prepare for widespread moderate coastal flooding expected tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.
SANDBAG OPERATIONS: The Annapolis Department of Public Works (DPW) and Office of Emergency Management (OEM) are offering free sandbags today, Friday, August 22, at the Donner Lot between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. (or until supplies last). These sandbags are available exclusively to Annapolis residents and businesses. Please bring identification (e.g., driver’s license or business card with address).
COASTAL FLOOD WARNING & UPDATED FORECAST: The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Coastal Flood Warning for Annapolis that is currently in effect until Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. A Coastal Flood Warning is issued when moderate to major coastal flooding is occurring or imminent. This type of flooding poses a serious risk to life and property. This is in response to hazardous conditions tied to Hurricane Erin and its impacts along the Chesapeake Bay.

• Friday, August 22: High tide at 5:33 PM (3.4 ft MLLW)
• Saturday, August 23: High tides at approximately 6:17 AM (3.9 ft. MLLW) and 6:25 PM (3.3 ft MLLW)
