Monday, August 10, 2026
Greetings - We have uploaded the weekly report to our website at www.lytletx.org/police
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “Current Weekly Report.” If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached at our office number (830-709-0277) or by email at richard.priest@lytletx.org.  There will be a regular city council meeting tonight (Monday, August 10th, 2026, at 6:30 PM) at City Hall.

Last week your Lytle P.D. officers handled 55 calls for service and conducted 68 traffic stops. Of those stops, 16 resulted in citations and 52 warnings (verbal or written).  While our number of calls was up, the vast majority were very minor calls. So, we didn’t pick up any big cases this week.
There was one property crime reported last week! A church in the 15100 block of Adams Street reported the theft of a gas can. It occurred on Monday around 3 PM; security footage showed a bald, middle-aged man who walked behind the building, grabbed the red plastic can, and walked off. The 5-gallon can was almost full, so that really increases its value given today's gas prices!
There was one arrest last week.  A report of a suspicious vehicle on Starcross Trail resulted in the arrest of a 47-year-old female. She had an active felony warrant out of Medina County for Burglary of a Building. She was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia before being booked into the Atascosa County Jail.
We have officers on duty 24/7; please don’t hesitate to call for an officer if you need one. The best way to have an officer dispatched is to call the Atascosa County Sheriff's Office Communications Center; they have direct radio contact with our on-duty officers. They can be reached at 830-769-3434, Option #1.
School is back in session! Please be careful when traveling around our schools, there will be heavy traffic.
We are only a little more than 5 weeks away from our city’s big 75th birthday party/night homecoming parade/street festival. Saturday, September 19th is the big day, or the “big night”. There will be live music, food, and drinks.  Contact Lytle City Hall for more information.
