Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “Current Weekly Report.” If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me. You can reach me at our office number (830-709-0277) or by email at richard.priest@lytletx.org. We will be testing our Tornado Warning Sirens on Wednesday, June 3, at Noon (12 PM).

For the week ending Sunday, May 31, 2026, Lytle P.D. Officers handled 44 calls for service and conducted 92 traffic stops. Of those stops, 63 resulted in a citation, and 29 were warnings.
There were three arrests last week. #1 – A traffic stop on Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old male. The suspect gave a false name and date of birth. After a little investigation, it was determined he had three active warrants out of Bexar County. He was booked on those warrants and was also charged with providing false identifying information while a fugitive from justice. He was booked into the Atascosa County Jail. #2 – A traffic stop for erratic driving near the Roadster Travel Center resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old female. She, too, provided false identifying information to the officer who had detained her. She was booked into the Atascosa County Jail. #3 – A report of a reckless driver on the IH-35 access road resulted in the arrest of a 62-year-old male for D.W.I. He was booked into the Atascosa County Jail.
There was one property crime reported last week. Twin Liquors reported that an unknown male stole a total of 3 bottles of alcohol on two separate occasions.
We are just over a month away from our big July 4th fireworks show! Join us at John Lott Park for an evening of fun, with free parking, free admission, and free live viewing of exploding fireworks … just look up into the night sky. This is an extremely popular event. The show starts a little after dark; there should be some food trucks, too.
As a reminder, if you need a Lytle Police Officer, please call the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office. They handle our dispatch services and have direct radio contact with the on-duty officers. They can be reached at 830-769-3434 Option #1. While we have officers on duty 24 hours a day, our police station is often unmanned. For routine questions and administrative issues, you can always call the office and leave a message if necessary. If something needs an immediate response, please don’t use social media, text, emails, smoke signals, phone calls (other than to dispatch), etc. It will only delay the dispatch process.
For emergencies call 911
