For the week ending Sunday, February 8th, 2026 …Your Lytle P.D. officers handled 55 calls for service and conducted 105 traffic stops. Of those stops, 39 resulted in citations, and 66 were warnings.
Lytle P.D. Officers made three arrests last week. #1 – A traffic stop for speeding on Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old male. He was booked into the Atascosa County Jail. #2 – A traffic stop for an expired registration resulted in the “cite and release” of a 23-year-old female for possession of drug paraphernalia. #3 – A report of a “road rage” incident on Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old male for D.W.I. He was booked into the Atascosa County Jail.
Two property crimes were reported last week. #1- On Wednesday, February 4th at approximately 5:30 PM officers took a report of a stolen vehicle from the H.E.B. Plus. The driver had left the keys in his 2019 Ford F250. The case is under investigation. #2 – Texicana Boutique on Main St. reported minor damage to their building. It appeared to have been struck by a vehicle or trailer.
In another interesting call … Officers observed a male walking along the access road looking for something. He said he had his wallet tucked above the sun visor, and it “flew” out the window. The contents included $1,600 cash. I hope he found it.
