For the week ending Sunday, January 14th, 2025 – Officers handled 64 calls for service and made 69 traffic stops. Of those stops, 32 resulted in a citation, and 37 were warnings.
There were ZERO property crimes reported to us last week. While I really like not having any property crimes … it sure does limit my ability to create an interesting weekly report.
Officers conducted 3 arrests last week. #1 – A traffic stop on the access road of IH-35 resulted in the “cite and release” of a 19-year-old male for possession of drug paraphernalia. #2 – A traffic stop on Somerset St. resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old male for possession of a controlled substance. He also had an active felony warrant out of Bexar County for Possession of Dangerous Drugs. #3 – A 68-year-old female was cited and released for disorderly conduct. This was the result of a “road rage” incident that started at FM 3175 @ IH-35 and ended with a confrontation at the H.E.B. Plus Curbside area.
Officers handled two calls that resulted in transporting an individual from the Camino Real Crisis Center to San Antonio Behavioral Hospital. One was under a mental health warrant, while the other was under an emergency mental health detention that required a higher level of care.
Another Hayride is “in the books.” It started on the “warm” side, but by the time we wrapped it up, it was very chilly. We had a great attendance, and everyone had a fun time.  A total of nine police officers who assisted with the event. That is, if you count me, for some reason, my staff says I really don’t count as a police officer.
