Here is your Lytle Police activity report for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025. Officers handled 62 calls for service and conducted 62 traffic stops. Of those stops, 28 resulted in citations, and 34 warnings were issued.
We did not have any property crimes reported last week!
Officers made 7 arrests last week. #1 – A 39-year-old male was arrested for Criminal Trespass at the Taco Bell. He had been previously given notice that he wasn’t allowed on the property. He was booked into the Atascosa County Jail. #2 – A traffic stop on the IH-35 Access Road resulted in the “cite and release” of a 27-year-old male for possession of drug paraphernalia. #3- A traffic stop for speeding on Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 19-year-old male for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was booked into the Atascosa County Jail. #4 – A traffic stop on Railroad St. resulted in the “cite and release” of a 19-year-old male for Minor in Possession of Alcohol. #5 – Officer R. Garcia hit a good one … A traffic stop on McDonald St. resulted in the arrest of a 47-year-old male for possession of a controlled substance. This guy had some warrants, too! A felony warrant out of Bexar County for evading arrest in a motor vehicle, and two more warrants with the same charge … one out of Woodway PD and one out of Lorena PD. He was booked into the Atascosa County Jail. #6 – A traffic stop on Main St. resulted in the “cite and release” of a 28-year-old male for possession of drug paraphernalia. #7 – A traffic stop on Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 48-year-old male for D.W.I. He was booked into the Atascosa County Jail.
In other news, we received a report of a couch and other items that were illegally dumped on Adams Street. Individuals dumping their trash and garbage on the side of the road is really irritating to me. On Sunday, officers responded to assist the Medina County Sheriff’s Office with a pursuit that ended with a bailout on FM 3175, a mile or so outside the city. Atascosa County Deputy Sheriffs, as well as U.S. Border Patrol, responded. Numerous people fled on foot; we deployed our drone to assist. MCSO arrested the driver for human smuggling, and the USBP took three into custody.
I took a “scam” report on Saturday. A man was texted about a lawn care job. In short, he worked three days at a vacant house without the owner’s knowledge or consent. If you get a text message about a job, I suggest you meet in person or at least talk to them on the phone. A big clue is if it involves them sending you a certified check! In all my years I have never paid somebody to do lawn care with a certified check.
The hayride is Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Lytle Community Center. The first run is set to pull out at 6 PM, so get there early!
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
