...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED WEDNESDAY...

.A strong cold front will arrive this afternoon, resulting in
breezy to windy conditions and low relative humidities on
Wednesday. Conditions will be favorable for critical fire danger
across areas along and south of Interstate 10, along US Highway
57, and Coastal Plains mid Wednesday morning through late
Wednesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a
Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from 10 AM to 7 PM CDT Wednesday. The Fire Weather Watch
is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...Areas along and south of Interstate 10, along US
Highway 57, and Coastal Plains.

* TIMING...From 10 AM to 7 PM CDT Wednesday.

* WINDS...Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop could rapidly increase in size
and intensity, move quickly, and be very difficult to control.

Instructions

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
