Construction Alert - Con Ed Gas Main Upgrades
We have been informed by Con Ed that they will be performing gas main upgrades and maintenance on several streets starting today. These improvements will provide safer and more reliable gas delivery with fewer leaks and other issues that may cause an interruption in service.
The work is expected to run from July 21st and will be completed in approximately 12 weeks. It will be performed by Con Ed’s contractor, Riggs Distler & Co, Inc. and will take place between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. The work may impact street parking and result in temporary lane closures and noise. Certain situations may require excavation of sidewalks, driveways, or lawn areas. If your property is affected, Con Ed will restore it.
Con Edison has indicated that completing the work may require a temporary interruption of service. If so, they will provide advance notice before any disruption occurs.
Schedule:
Below is a map depicting the areas scheduled for work:

Construction is expected to occur in the following sequence:
This is not a Town project. If you have questions about the upcoming work, or concerns about private facilities buried in your lawn, such as sprinkler lines or electric dog fences, please email CustomerQuestions@conEd.com and reference the job identification number assigned to your street above. The Con Edison construction supervisor is Nicholas Teto.
The affected streets were originally scheduled for pavement resurfacing as part of the Town’s 2025 Road Resurfacing contract. The Town will coordinate with Con Edison to implement full resurfacing of these roads at a later date, after Con Edison has completed their construction activities in the area.
Please note: There is usually a delay between the end of the project and the final landscaping or paving restoration, which is completed by different contractors. If you have any questions or concerns, please email dl-WestchesterRCA@conEd.com
We appreciate your patience during this necessary gas main replacement work.
