The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Richmond (Staten Island) County in southeastern New York...

* Until 415 PM EDT.

* At 116 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 2.5 inches
in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Todt Hill, Huguenot, The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Tottenville,
Oakwood, Tompkinsville, Annadale, New Dorp, Greenridge, Heartland
Village and Grasmere.

Instructions
