Town Of Mamaroneck Emergency Alert - Road Ban issued

Good afternoon.  This is Town Supervisor, Jaine Elkind Eney, with an important storm update.

Westchester County has issued a complete road ban on all roadways from 9:00PM tonight, Sunday, February 22nd, thru 10:00AM tomorrow morning, Monday, February 23rd.  The Road ban is being implemented due to hazardous winter weather conditions expected overnight including heavy snowfall, high winds and coastal flooding. Roads are closed to all but essential travel (that’s police, fire and ambulance) The ban is in addition to the Town’s Emergency Declaration and Orders already in effect.
Town emergency service personnel and key staff are prepared and ready for the storm. Residents should stay off the roads during the ban to allow emergency crews and road treatment teams to operate safely and effectively. Travel conditions are expected to be treacherous to impossible, particularly during overnight hours.

Residents should report outages to Con Ed directly at 800-752-6633, via the Con Ed app, or at coned.com/report outage.  Text REG to 688243 for updates or text OUT to 688243 to report an outage.

The Town will provide additional information, as needed, during the course of the storm.

Please stay off the roads and stay warm and dry during this dangerous storm!
