The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire
Warning at the request of Lincoln County Emergency Management for
eastern Lincoln County.
* At 331 PM MDT, the Seven Cabins wildfire was located 7 miles
southeast of Encinoso, or 25 miles northeast of Ruidoso, moving
rapidly toward the north-northeast.
* Evacuation Area... This includes NM Highway 246 on the north side
of the Capitan Mountains eastward to Boy Scout Mountain Road.
* Additional Information...Do not drive into areas of smoke.
Residents are urged to evacuate their homes. If you need
assistance, please call 575-648-2341.
Instructions
Evacuate quickly and follow all safety instructions from local
emergency management officials. Do not drive into smoke.
