Description

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
area, South Central Mountains. This is focused on the Ruidoso area
burn scars.

* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall rates greater than one-half inch to one inch per
hour along with repeated storm development may lead to flash
flooding on area burn scars. Storm motion will be southwest
to northeast. There is a chance the threat of burn scar flash
flooding stretches late into Saturday night.
